segOvia

A tribute-inspired repertoire honoring the legacy of Andrés Segovia. Recorded using the rare 1939 Hermann Hauser I guitar originally built for Segovia, graciously made available thanks to the cultural and philanthropic initiative “Adopt a Musician”, created and funded by MusicMasterpieces SA – Lugano (CH). This album features solo guitar works by Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Pedrell, Haug, Ibert, Torroba, Turina, Segovia himself, and even a newly commissioned piece composed by Enrico Melozzi especially for Carlotta. A uniquely historical and musical homage to the classical guitar tradition.
